Trip Summary

We drove to Sotra and then southwards into the direction Klokkarvik. At Eide, we turned right, into the direction of Glesvær. Relatively near to Glesvær, we turned right, again---this time into the direction of Golta. We drove over the bridge to Golta and parked the car along the road, a short bit before reaching Nedre/Øvre Golta. We weren't 100% sure were "the path to Sandvika" would leave the road and searched for a short while, before we decided to follow something that looked in the beginning like a track (maybe sheep!). We passed through a couple of trees, before finding a suitable spot to cross a simple fence. We then followed a "height ridge" towards northwest, right next to a significant depression, called Trolldalen. Halfway out, we came to another fence---this time with barbed wire on top (how nice!!). At the edge down to Trolldalen, we found a place, where it was possible to get to the other side without too big troubles---why putting up barbed wire in such a place, really?! From there, it was easy to continue, first along the height; then down to Lutavika. We crossed Lutavika (in Jonsvikadalen), getting over to Luten. There we spotted a nice looking rock and from there we enjoyed both the low standing sun and great views over the North Sea. From there, we returned; taking a path a little further south. Again, we came to this fence with the barbed wire on top---this time it was set up right across the path---definitely a friendly person, who as active there recently! Still it was possible to pass also this hurdle and we continued back to the road (walking basically along a stone wall and eventually slipping through some trees, again). All in all, this was a very nice winter walk to the open sea---in excellent weather! Nice! :-)
