Day 1: REEDBUCK CAMPSITE
From Nairobi drive for two hours to the Aberdares National Park through Treetop park gate. Wildlife is enjoyed in the Salient where it is both abundant and highly visible. The park is rich in alpine flora and fauna, and scenic features including magnificent waterfalls. We are en route to Kiandogoro where we spent the night at Reedbuck campsite.
Day 2: HONI RIVER
After breakfast, drive to the Karuru - Matubio junction to start 4-5 hours hike on the moorland track that is dotted with giant heather, tussock grass, open forest glades and rose wood to arrive at Honi river for overnight in tents. During the hike it's possible to see buffaloes, elephant and many antelopes.
Day 3: NAROBI
Have breakfast and drive to the base of Le Satima peak, hike for 2-3 hours to Le Satima peak (4001m), the highest point of the Aberdare Mountains. On a clear day you can see Mt. Kenya and Mt. Kilimanjaro on the horizon and even Lake Naivasha, Lake Nakuru and the Daiga hills. Later descend to connect with the vehicle for transfer off the mountain back Nairobi
