Trip Summary
We parked "on the other end" of Tennebekk, at Nordre Tennebekk, right about the tunnel, basically. From there, we first walked a little upwards in the direction of Tennebekktjørna. Where the forrest road makes a significant turn to the left, we turned right and continued on a path towards Storamyra. From there, it was only a few meters, before we reached Svartatjørna---a really nice place in Kanadaskogen! Instead of following the main path, which continues on the western side of the lake, we turned right after the small peninsula on the northern end of Svartatjørna and ascended in northwestern direction to the saddle, which separates Svartatjørna from Bjørndalstjørna on the other side. From this saddle, we followed a hardly visible path in southwestern direction---more of less towards Svartaberget. In the beginning, this path leads upwards, which was according to the expectation, but then it changes more and more into a southern direction---surrounding Svartaberget more than leading up towards it, seemingly. At a nice vantage point, with a great overview over Kanadaskogen, we decided to turn right and ascend towards Svartaberget directly. After only a few meters, we reached the top and enjoyed some nice views, mostly in western direction, from there, before we returned, first following the little path that we had joined on our way up. Instead of going down directly (as up), we followed the path and came back to exactly the nice vantage point, where we had left the path---so, in fact, this path does lead all the way up to Svartaberget---one only needs to patiently continue this path that somehow spirals up to the top! :-) We then descended towards Svartatjørna and got back to Storamyra, meeting for a short while the path that we had taken upwards. At Storamyra, however, we turned righta and followed a path that leads up to Storhovden. Before actually getting there, however, we turned left and ascended to a ridge that lies between Svartaberget and Storhovden. We traversed this ridge in northern direction and descended through the forrest to the forrest road which leads up to Tennebekktjørna. From there, we simply followed the forrest road down and back to our car. All in all, this was a nice and refreshing hike in Kanadaskogen with all sorts of weather! :-)
