A 9h daytrip from Gjevilvasshytta along Gravbekken towards Blåtjønna (great places for a short swim beneath the ice there!), up Svarttjønnbekken and ascending to Blåhøa from the northeast. I think that this direction should be more rewarding than approaching the mountain from the southwestern side. From the northeast you get to see the stunning ridge all along the ascend, whereas if you come from the southwest you mostly have a seemingly never ending and steep mountain of stone in front of you. Instead, if you're walking down from the summit to the southwest you'll have an interesting sight into Tverrbekken and the two Kamtjønnin.

Had magnificent weather all along the trip. Sun and dark clouds above the perfect scenery. Could clearly see Snota in the northwest and Trollhøtta in the northeast. I even think I may have spotted Snøhetta way south on Dovrefjell but the weather turned darker and rainy just then so I'm not sure.

Very recommendable daytrip!
